As well as her Fashion house Jackie Christie Inc. Jackie having realized her passion for fashion at an early age would put on fashion shows with her siblings and make suits out of linens, A talented designer, Jackie's natural beauty would soon take her into the world of modeling also at an early age, and her signature runway walk would gain her standing ovations when ever she dawned the catwalk. After enjoying a successful career in modeling Jackie found her true mission in life is helping and mentoring others, with a kind heart and a desire to uplift and inspire others, lead Jackie and her husband of 15 years NBA star Doug Christie to start their infinite love foundation with a strong mission to help, unite, and inspire all people. Jackie the second half of the most talked about sports couple in history, with her committed marriage to Doug, has used her celebrity to draw positive attention to many causes around the world. Having now added speaker to her already impressive resume, Jackie often travels the country speaking to a diverse groups of women and couples with her husband Doug, offering information and advice on many topics from having a strong committed marriage to reaching goals and becoming successful at writing books, or their chosen profession by instilling a strong since of self esteem and belief in themselves and much more. Growing up in a family of nine siblings taught Jackie at an early age about sharing and giving. She is known by many, to be a beacon of light. Jackie finds her joy in life by spending time with her loving family, and helping others. Jackie has often said helping to put a smile on someone's face means the world to her. Douglas Christie, a native of Seattle, WA, found a zest for athletics at a very young age. While at Rainier Beach High School, Christie became a standout athlete. He led the Vikings to their first State basketball championship in 1988 and earned the title, Player of the Year for Washington State. That very same year Doug participated in track and field, winning the state crown for the high jump, clearing a full 7ft. He went on to attend Pepperdine University, in Malibu, CA, leading the Waves to consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. During the three seasons Christie played for Pepperdine Head Coach Tom Asbury, the Waves were 63-27, winning two WCC regular-season titles and conference tournament championships. Doug attracted dozens of NBA scouts during his college career, and was selected 17th overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics. He went on to enjoy a 14-year professional career, playing with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors and the Sacramento Kings to name a few, becoming known as one of the league's best defenders. During his 14 seasons in the NBA, Doug won two Pacific Division Championships with the Sacramento Kings and was selected to the NBA All Defensive Team three straight seasons. On Saturday, March 7th 2009, Doug Christie was officially inducted in the WCC Hall of Honor, which included six all time greatest athletes, along with two top coaches, from the West Coast Conference (WCC). Inductees included greats Hank Gathers, Clive Charles, Tom Meschery, Bernie Bickerstaff, Joe Ellis, and Carroll Williams. During halftime of the first men's basketball semifinal game on March 8th, 2009, Doug was again recognized for his outstanding athletic achievements across the WCC's eight respective institutions. Honors bestowed upon him included 1991-1992 WCC'S MVP; All-American member of the All-WCC First Team, where he led Pepperdine in scoring, assists, and steals. His 1,392 career points made him the university's 15th leading scorer while 395 assists placed him third in Pepperdine history. Christie, a strong motivational speaker and mentor, continues to bring his basketball expertise to the forefront, with the announcement of his new company Christie Sports Management in 2009. His mission is to integrate mind, body and basketball, while training, educating and motivating other NBA players, as well as NBA hopefuls and young basketball players around the world. Doug and his lovely wife Jackie married in 1996 and reside in their home State of Washington, with their three children, Takari, Chantel, and Douglas Jr., who are home schooled by their father. Doug enjoys fishing, golfing, and music. In 1993, Doug created Christie Bridge to Kids, allowing youth to participate in summer programs and camps free of charge. He also took great pleasure in his time as a youth ambassador with the NBA Read to Achieve program.
